this is the dash kit that replaces the oem one at the top....holes have been drilled for the center speaker

I'm guessing that you can't use the steering wheel controls anymore? Do you not use the stock audio anymore?

 

well...this is what im doing presently...i still have the stock bose in use (w/sat) as it comes with the shinka package...and because at the time of the install there were no dashkits available that would not be HVAC compatible...
sirius is my downfall..

im just using the jensen for DVD....
and it has an ipod interface and SD slot

 

So you're using the stock audio for radio, CD, etc. and the aftermarket stereo for just DVD and mp3? I still dont understand how two different audio systems can work together. I don't have satellite radio, so it wouldn't be a problem for me. Also, what about the steering wheel controls?

 

yeah...it does sound a little kookie but they do....the jensen is connected to the bose....im not exacty sure how it was done cuz i didnt install it..

the bose and HVAC system are connected...so i didnt wanna pull the bose as heat and air are important to me..

i dont have a clue about the steering wheel controls..whether they would work with the jensen...

but there are 2 remotes for the jensen, one for the front seat and one for the rear
