FS-Mazda Fender Strakes $180 shipped
SOLD
Up for sale is a set of Mazda/OEM fender strakes. Taken off our 2005 WWP prior to trading it in. $180 shipped anywhere in the US. I may even still have the installation instructions...and will send along as well .They are ready to ship...first person calling dibs and confirming payment will get them.
[edit] This is for a set of Polished OEM fender strakes. RX8strakes.com lists these at $219...I would assume, plsu shipping/tax,, etc.

as you can see...I did change the pricing to $180 OBO.....the idea of OBO has appeared to cause confusion for some of the younger folk.
If you look at RX8strakes.com you can see pricing for various options of strakes.
http://www.rx8strakes.com/index.asp?...TS&Category=30
If you want the plastic painted versions, they are in the 60-70 dollar range and work perfectly fine. I've seen them in person and they get the job done. OEM's on that website are listed at 209-219.
I am very clear in my ad that this for a set of OEM strakes. Polished to be more specific. $180 OBO shipped.

These are also polished aluminum. Equivalent or Better quality than the "OEM" strakes. Not to mention some of the best customer support I have ever seen.
$110 shipped anywhere in the U.S.
If someone were to offer you $80 dollars for your set would you considered that low balling?

I also posted a link to RX8strakes.com site since there are many options for strakes for our cars.
OBO is was it is...."or best offer". Someone could offer me 5 bucks, doesn't mean I have to accept it, as I'm the seller. Given my experience in transactions with Canada, I would be unlikely I would ship them there. I can always go the Ebay route, as there seems to be less egos there.

It's not our egos that is the problem but rather the price you are asking for a set of used fender strakes. I know you want to get the most money possible for them but previous sales of fender strakes on this site should dictate your asking price as well.
I'm not trying to be an ***, I'm just telling it how it is. If you do a search for fender strakes there have been dozens sold over the past few months. 95% of them don't sell for more than $100 (inlcuding shipping). I just don't see how $180 is justified? Just my opinion.

$180 for a pair of USED strakes?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mazda-RX8-Air-...hippingPayment
Those are about US$150 shipped--brand spanking new and stainless steel (no rusting), to boot. Some forum members here have those and they have nothing but great compliments.
GL selling 'em for $180.

Yeah and it only took over a month (and prob big price cut) to get rid of them when you could have just simply asked a fair price, sold them instantly and saved yourself a little face. GREAT SALE!

didn't lose an ounce of sleep over this, nor any "face".....not a high school kid and am not worried about what forum trolls think. Enjoy your Zex kit.....let me know when it is up for sale and I'll give you 20 bucks for it, and another 5 for shipping.

OK...So you sold 'em. Now you want a round of applause from us?
I bet you didn't even sell them for $180. If you did, though, good for ya as there's a sucker born every minute. I'd love to sell my stock exhaust and stock springs to that same buyer for $180 per...

The nice thing about OEM strakes is they are warrantied.
There has been a rash of FS threads where posters chime in saying that the price is too high... the FS / Wanted thread rules says that is not acceptable. It creates a bad vibe and some people take it personally. If you want to help a person out, then do it discreetly by letting them know through PMs. If you are doing it to **** someone off then it should be punished.

Nope, just wanted to ruffle some feathers and feel what it is like to be 16 again. Feels good, I can see why people do it. And you're right, there are suckers born every minute.
