FS: RE Super Dolphin Tail Exhaust
For sale, RE-Amemiya Stainless Super Dolphin Tail Muffler
less than 8k miles on it
no known visible dents, dings, or problems
great sound
butt dyno says increased horsepower
great looking product from one of the legends in the rotary world
For anyone that attended the 2008 DGRR event you may have seen the setup on the 40th anny rx-8 that was parked in front of the lodge during the show.
Bought from RHDJapan, paid over 2k new looking to get $1600 local pick up or $1600 + shipping for UPS shipped and insured delivery. I would estimate shipping to be between $50 and $100 due to size and weight. Won't know for sure until I get it packed up and weighed. Shipping invoice will be provided so you know you were only charged the actual cost to ship and I pocket nothing off shipping. As always local pickup is welcomed.
Currently the tips are "bronzed" which when I had it on the car I liked the look of as it went with the color of the anny edition. I took a small polishing wheel with the dremel and it cleaned up the test sections back to the original non"bronzed" shine. My large polishing wheels are trashed from some recent work so I am hoping to get some more picked up this week and get the tips polished back out by the end of the weekend at which point I will post up some pictures.
Please PM with any questions.
Thanks,
Jonathan

Yeah Ti would be nice, does RE even do this exhaust in Ti? I don't recall ever seeing it at least not when I ordered it. Price wise.....what can I say, its RE and other than maybe a t-shirt there isn't much that is cheap from them. I originally was going to order it through them however the price and shipping (by boat) ended up higher than what RHDJapan was able to get it to me for (by plane). This was also when the dollar stood against the yin a little better. Times are tough though. I have a set of Work Meister 3-piece wheels that I think I gave around 2800 for and had to wait 3-4 months to make it by boat, been trying to sell them for 2-2300 (mind you they have never been mounted, had rubber on them, and two of the boxes haven't even been opened) and hard to find any takers. Someone had chimed up with current prices as they had just ordered a set within the last month or so and paid over 3300 for his set (same size just slightly different offsets), price increase mainly due to the value of the dollar.
