FS: Bay Area, Ca.... Volk LE37T 18x8.5 & 9.5 FD or RX-8 offsets
Hey Guys! Anyone looking for a set of 18x8.5 and 9.5 Volk LE37Ts? I was planning on putting them on my FD, but things aren't working out. I know i don't have many posts here, but I've done plenty of hassle-free transactions on the RX-7 club and MOCCforums.com under the same username. My ebay name is p5natey if you'd like to check out my 100% good feedback there as well.
The wheels (and me!) are located in Santa Cruz, Ca.
The Volks need paint (they were powdercoated black, but they need it again), and there's only three of them (I have a 4th wheel that's the right size and offset; it's a knockoff, though and about twice the weight). I'm willing to wheel and deal on the price. Lowball the crap out of me and see what happens. I'm so broke I can't pay attention!
These wheels are 750 bucks+ apiece from Upgrade Motoring or AutoRnD, so we know the quality's right up there.

If you're interested, let me know and I'll give you the details, more pics, etc.

Here's a pic of them as they sit, and a couple links to pics of the car that they came off of: See the flaking paint in the upper right one?

Thanks for the good word Riken.
Here's the deal. I traded my stock FD wheels with almost new tires for these wheels. I paid shipping both ways from the East Coast, so I'd say I have about $650 into them. Here's how I'm arriving at that price:
You can get a clean set of used FD wheels off of the RX-7 club for about 250 bucks + shipping, chances are the tires will be either crappy or bald though. With tires, mine were worth about 450 or so. The tires on my (like new, reinforced) stockies were 245/45-16 BFG KDW2s with about 80%-85% tread on them.
Shipping both ways cost me about 200 bucks (IIRC, It's been awhile).
That's 650. Firm.
Offsets are +45 all around.

size, width, color and offset are the same, but yeah...it's nowhere near what the Volks are, and you can really tell by picking them up one after another...the knockoff weighs seriously twice as much as the LE's.
...and I guess the guy couldn't afford that extra, 6th spoke..?
3 Volks - $650 + shipping,
4th wheel - free.
EDIT: I just received a PM with a good question. Here's the answer:
I have 2 18x 8.5 and 1 18x 9.5 LE37ts. The knockoff is 18x 9.5" and says "liquidmetal" on the centercap.

Thanks for the good word, alexisthemovie. Yeah, they're discontinued, but still pretty easy to find. They show up on ebay, craigslist and Panda/RB a lot.
I seriously would LOVE to swap out the Enkeis on my FD for these wheels, but times are tough and my car's about ready for a new set of twins.
I'll post some more close-up pics in a few.

Sorry for the delay in pics...been pretty busy trying to scrape a few duckets together. I'll try to take a few tomorrow morning before work, and upload 'em from there.

Offsets are +45 all 'round. I'm gonna do my best to sell all 4 wheels, but if things don't work out soon, I'll consider selling the two 8.5's. Thanks for the bump!
I got an offer for $450, and I need money for Christmas.... Anyone wanna out bid the guy?

I didn't buy, paint or even mount these rims ever on my car, so unless you're interested in buying the wheels, save the chintzy lol's, and go back to the "Fap over other people's women" thread.
The last thing I would do is treat a set of Volks like these have been treated. I've had a set of 18x7.5 LE37s on my Protege5 for over 6 years and they still look new; as do the Panasports on my (now sold ) Miata, and the RPF1s on my RX-7. Why someone would hillbilly-paint a set pf $2000+ wheels is beyond me.
The good news is there is NO curbrash on any of the wheels. My plan was to repaint them back to gunmetal, find another 9.5, some centercaps and Volk stickers and have a clean set of 18" LEs for around 1200 bucks. Unfortunately, I'm broker than a baby's toy and need money for Christmas presents.
