VA Gauging Interest: B-stock RX-8 parts for sale (prices included)

I'm taking my RX-8 to a different solo class next year, so after 2 years of B-stock competition, a number of my parts are for sale. No dibs. If interested, post in this thread, and I'll inform you when these items are officially for sale (should be within the next week). Depending on the interest level here, these items will also be posted for sale on sccaforums and/or nasioc about 1 week from now.

Paypal accepted. We can also take a cash payment from local buyers. Parts are at my co-driver's place in Woodbridge, VA and pick-up can be arranged. We can also ship via Grey Hound, UPS, Fedex, DHL, etc.

***Priority will be given to local buyers, or those who are purchasing multiple items***

Racing Wheels: Gold OZ Ultraleggera's 18x8", 18.6lbs each [Price $800 firm] SOLD
These currently have Hoosier A6's mounted. Willing to separate. These wheels have NEVER been street driven, only used for autocrossing. No curb rash, but typical scratches from having race rubber mounted/dis-mounted.

Stock RX-8 wheels: Used for my wet tires [Price $275] SOLD
Currently have a set of Hoosier wets mounted on them, but willing to seperate. All four wheels hold air with no leaks. One wheel is in rough cosmetic shape as it has ~1" curb rash scrape. The other three wheels are much better with only light scratches/wear. Condition reflected in price. **More pics will come later**

Hoosier wets: 255/40/18 Only used for two events [Price $275] SOLD
Bought new last year and used on a CS Soltice. Ran them at one event this year on my B-stock RX-8. 20 runs total on these tires. Always stored in a climate controlled basement. Rubber is still very soft and the tires have roughly 80-90% tread left. All 255/40/18 Hoosier wets have a build date from late 2004 or 2005 - even ones purchased this year bear the same build. These have a late 2004 build date iirc. Will verify date for any interested sellers. **Pics will come later**
Note: If you're interested in the stock wheels and hoosier wets together, we'll work out a discount.

Race exhaust: Lightweight race catback that includes a resonator [Price $75] SOLD
This exhaust cost over $150 to make. Uses a stock catback pipe, high flow stainless resonator, and a mandrel bent 45 deg 2.5" pipe. Total weight is 8.5lbs. This exhaust exits behind the vehicle, so extra vibrations within the vehicle are very minimal. It is too loud for the street, but as it angles down to the ground, it should meet sound at the strictest sites (ground dissipates the noise as you move further away from the vehicle).

When you say stock wheels do you mean just the stock rims or the rim + factory tires?

interested in the exhaust. Do you have any more mounted pics of it? Running it with the stock cat or something else? Any more sound clips? How many miles on it?

Paypal is ready.

I mean just the stock rims (wheels) by themselves. They currently have Hoosier Wets mounted on them, not factory tires.

I'll see if I can find a side-ways shot... Our camera mount broke so I don't have many sound clips. But remember, this is a race exhaust only. Good for track days & autocross.

The rules in B-stock only allowed me to change the catback. So in the sound clip it has the stock cat.

Here's one other exhaust clip I could find (weird angle):

Cool. Once you get your street exhaust off, this race catback literally takes 5 minutes to mount. Two bolts at the front and slip the one exhaust hanger over the rubber mount (near the rear diff) and you're done!

I found another pic showing the weight of my race catback -- it's 8.1lbs:

Most of my pics are from local events when we didn't run the race exhaust. We only ran it at National Tours, Pro Solo and Solo Nationals.

Here's one other pic I found:

Oh I have a test pipe, and I'm gonna street the hell out of that exhaust! Does it line up with the center of the rear bumper?

Are you willing to sell one wheel? If so, how much?

How about your shocks and front bar as well? I'm looking for a complete, used B stock "package" for next year (no exhaust, though).

I'd have to investigate the cross-border shipping implications too...

Not at this time. I have someone interested in buying all four.

I'm keeping the front bar (Hotchkis MX-5) but the konis will be for sale later. Price will be $250 firm, but I'll have them on the car until I purchase coilovers around Xmas/New Year's.

Cool. I'll talk to my co-driver tonight - we should have the race exhaust ready to go. Price is $75, but you'll need to cover the Paypal fee and shipping. PM me your zip code. Shipping is going to be tricky. Item is light, but very long.

If and when you sell the konis, I am interested. I'll keep up with this thread, but if you can let me know when it happens, that'd be awesome.

Sounds good. Send me an e-mail to: chiketkd 'at' yahoo 'dot' com

I'll flag your e-mail and put it in my autocross folder so that I can shoot you an e-mail when the konis are off the car.

Exhaust is available again and from talking to my co-driver tonight, it's ready to go. Please understand, this exhaust is too loud for extended street use. It's a race exhaust and best used for autocross or track days. I've only had it on my car roughly 6-7 times in the last 2 years, and it probably has close to 50 miles on it. So, it's in extremely good shape.

I have about 4 parties interested in the stock rims. I'm going to take a pic of each OEM RX-8 wheel this weekend and add them to this thread early next week. If you're interested after seeing the pics, we can talk afterwards. So wait for the pics, then we can talk about shipping, etc afterwards.

You're just looking for the stock rims w/o the hoosier wets, correct? The race exhaust is ready to go.

Correct.

Do the rims have TPMS? (Want them regardless.) Thanks.

We'll need to get the Hoosier wets dismounted first. No TPMS with these rims. Not sure if we can get the rims separated by this weekend. If not, then we'll work something out the following weekend.

No "front lip" as it was not allowed in my former autocross class. Wankelbolt is the first local to express interest in multiple items so he has right of first refusal on the stock rims and race exhaust at this point.

The OZ wheels, hoosier wets, and Hoosier A6's are still up for grabs.

While I haven't posted them on NASIOC yet, I'm sure the 18x8 gold ultraleggeras will go quickly there. If anyone is interested in them, please post quickly as they will most likely be spoken for by this time next week.

No sweat. That may work out better as I'm headed to Summit that Friday and will have time to burn Friday evening or Saturday.
