My car is garaged 6 days out of the week since I live in downtown Chicago. If a crappy chinese knockoff will last a year on a dd car. It'll last 5 on mine.

No I cannot make one for cheaper with less LED's. Even if I do, it's not the cost of the LED's I'm concerned about. You're paying for my time I invest in building the thing. PM me your emails if you're interested in pics. Don't want the mods coming down on me.
