I've been looking at other people's postings of oem cats for sale so I could compare my pricing to theirs. The dealer replaced the cat when for me, but mine doesn't look anything like the others. Is it because they had a design change or what?
Im attaching a picture of it.

I'd take it back. It definitely isn't a Mazda catalytic converter. It doesn't look anything like the Mazda OEM cat.
If the dealership says anything I would contact Mazda North America to let them know about the dealership. Especially if they put that on under warranty.

Looks like I'm screwed on the cat. When I bought the car it had no cat and was throwing a cel. The car lot I bought the car from told me they took if to the dealer and had it replaced.
Turns out, the dealership claims that the car lot took it to them to get the engine light checked, Mazda told them there was no cat on it, so the car lot took it back and put that universal cat on.
Until recently, I had never seen an own cat so I never knew to question it. Damn!
Anybody need a cat? Lol make me an offer...no clue what it's worth but I know it fits good!

Well if it works and you wanna get rid of it cheap I'm open to it, looks like a rx7store highflow cat clone, just with some real nasty welding. Honestly I think 150+ I pay shipping to 92808, How does that sound? reason being is Im looking at the Rp racing Cat myself, which im sure you know looks a hell of alot better(welds, finish, material) but something to get me by would be nice. thanks for your consideration.
