I dont know which cobra you have and I dont wanna down talk your stuff but a buddy of mine has a super sport camaro and he got the most expensive cobra wal mart sells (150 I think) and when we go down the road side by side i pick up cops with alot more notice then he does. Now the passport gives more false alarms but Id rather have that than less warning. Like i said i dont know which one you have but in radar detectors you get what you pay for. my was around 350 and his was 150 so you tell me.

I used to be a Cobra fanatic (it's all my friends ever used) and very soon realized how much better the Passports and Valentine Ones are, guaranteed. Take it for what it's worth

The radar detector helps, but you still have to watch out for cops not running radar.

As with all radar detector reviews you may want to take their results with a giant grain of salt. Personally I have a Beltronics V965, it's saved my bacon a few times, but I wouldn't trust it as much as a Passport or V1.

it is very dependable.. but just like above said.. its not a cop detector. and cops dont have to even use their radars sometimes. I (in my younger years) got stop doing 70 in a 35. I had a whistler radar which was top of the line at the time.. when i told the cop that my radar didnt go off, he said its probably cause he didnt use his radar.. And that anybody could tell i was doing in excess of 70 in a 35. needless to say, i paid it without going to court.
