RX8 Switchblade Key (new/blank key)

I have an RX8 remote/switchblade key for sale. I have put in a new/blank key so it is ready to be cut to your car.

I will try and get pictures of the actual unit/key, but until then here is a picture of the last one I sold.

Asking for $55 shipped.

Yes, will work with an '04. You program the remote and transponder (in the key) the sam way that you would a normal key and remote. (Directions on here this board.)

Same drivetrain as a Grand Prix GTP (which most people dont know) and the 3.8L Supercharged is actually a Buick motor anyway.

I am not lightening up anything on it really, will retain stereo, full interior, etc. Should be good for a solid 12 sec 1/4 mile with my conservative tune/torque management (I have no more money to fix anything). But with a little more fuel, and a good tire/tranny, it should be able to hit 11's easily.

Just to give you an idea about these motors. There is a twin turbo Grand Prix that runs a STOCK bottom end (yes, stock crank, bearings, rods, pistons) that was running consistent 9's in the 1/4 mile I am not even trying to get anywhere near there, if I even just break into the 12's then I hit my goal. As it sat with the mods in my sig (which is not heavily modded at all) it was good for a 13.9 sec 1/4.

Question? I am new at this... I have an 'o4 Rx8 and i hate the key and seperate fob.. So I was told by the dealership that I was SOL, But it sounds like they can work as long as you have the blank cut at the dealership so it will actually start the engine. Do I have that right?

cheers

Tek...
I have an 04' and it works perfect... The key will start the engine and the buttons will work. You will have to program it, the directions are on this web site (search). BTW dont have mazda cut the key, they will over charge you, go where you would to get anyother key cut, I had a local locksmith cut mine.

It's actually pretty easy to do yourself. The instructions literally lay out every single thing you need to do. Save yourself the hassle and have the key cut at a hardware store and just program it yourself. The dealership will either tell you it won't work with an '04 or charge you through the nose to do it.

I have three switchblade keys for my '04.

Also, $80 shipped for a blank key and fob is a *great* deal. If I didn't have three already I'd be sending this guy payment now.
