just because you two can't see a use for it doesn't mean others can't. you could drill and tap this for nitrous, water, another injector or just use it to weld to. thousands of uses.

I'd much rather buy the one already made specifically for those uses... (even though it's a little more).

 

i personally cant say how much of a difference this spacer makes, i never got to install it before i sold my rx8 . but even a 5 or 6hp difference can be all it takes to win a race so please dont bash my thread, im just trying to sell this piece for what i paid for it on this same site a few months ago.

guys there are forums for these types of dicussions, if i had exact quites on gains i would give them to you, but i know there is no such thing because everything plays a part in dyno results, (air temp, wind speed , etc) . so please post some there else , stop hijacking my thread.

messing with the length of the intake will screw up the tuning and likely decrease power...

im not sure what this does on the rx-8 but I've seen other vehicles gain whp from these. My friends 350z gained about 8hp at the wheels. Another thing, if you're going FI, this could be useful. If you dont think buying this part is relevant then why did ya'll even come to this thread? To argue about how useless it is huh?? about a good 60% of people on this forum have cold-air intake. We can go on and on how irrelevant they are on this car, just like exhaust.
