WTB: Aldehyde Cabin Air Filter
#2
I just called my local dealer about this today. Searching the forums I found a few links like this one:

And also a debate about whether the stock filter is Aldehyde. Some people think it is, some it isn`t, some said they had to pay extra. I called today and my dealer told me the stock one they ordered IS Aldehyde. I guess I`ll find out tomorrow when it`s in.

There is a huge difference between the stock cabin filter and the upgrade aldehyde filter.
The stock filter is paper thin, the upgrade filter is much heftier and makes a huge difference on internal air quality.

Yeah, I had no conviction the guy knew what he was talking about (as usual, I had to tell HIM what was in the 2 year inspection or I would have got a very expensive oil change/fluid check) but just passing on what he said. Is there any way I can tell just by looking at it without having seen either before? I'll get him to show me before they put it in.

You can tell the difference fairly easily.
The aldehyde filter is gray in color the stock is white and almost see through.
Of course the stock will be dirty but it should be noticably different.
