The problem for us, on the bumper side is we have an extra reinforced bar running through the back end. So I had to cut/remove that, and fab an extra bar for a crunch bar. This also resulted in a bit of fab work on the back fiberglass piece.

The front end needed about 2 inches added in the middle (to extend the width) and a few cm's added to the upper left side to make it flush. both headlight holes had to be redone as well, as they were mis-shaped for mine.

The backend has the same problem, needed a few inches added, the right hand side was way too long and needed to be cut/reshaped.

The side skirts just needed a few cm's added.

The hood was almost perfect and just needed a touchup on the shape.

All in all, it needed some work and it almost seemed as if my car was too wide for your kit, resulting in cuts being added. Which in turn resulted in headlight holes, etc being out of line. Does fiberglass get warped when being shipped from warm to cold and then stored back in warm? I doubt this would explain the wide problem tho.

there is also a significant difference not noted between replicas and the authentic....ther replicas have only a few layers of actual FG on it with a ton of resin to make it seem sturdier but it is still thin FG....the authentic in almost every case i have seen is 3X as thick as the replicas...this will always make it far sturdier.....as for the fit i would say its better than others but not 100%...the rear for me on the right tail light was off/low and needed to be built up a bit...the drivers side headlight had to be shaved a bit...the front corners needed to be touched up as well.....my skirts were perfect.....i cant imagine more than 8-10 hours went into mine if that.....but then again i wanted mine to be show car perfect and i wanted it to be noticed by many ( which it was)

a FEW inches sounds absurd.

I cannot POSSIBLY see how it would be that far off.
We build the parts off of stock bumpers, so I just cannot understand how something would be inches short.

YES fiberglass can and does warp ESPECIALLY if it is hot. and yes I see no reason that this would make something inches shorter.

If you store a bumper in a tilted way, it will start to sag and get warped. (fyi - this is why we do not make urethane bumpers. they would be WAY too heavy and sag a lot)

Well that could explain it. The parts were ordered form the states, arrived in Canada in winter time, then stored in a garage. Then sent to me.

Also, the front was 1.25 inches added and the back was 1.75 inches added. Any other addition were in the centimeters.

Darn canadian cold, cost me an arm and a leg. It gets me in heating bills and now it's getting me in bodykit bills haha.

I'm sorry but veilside doesn't have the greatest reputation in this industry because many of your parts fit like turd (at least from what I've seen in person with the s2000 stuff)...

On their defense, it is fiberglass. You can mold them one way, and they warp another. I have yet to EVER find a fiberglass kit that fits well.

For that matter, the only kits that have EVER fit well are the urethane ones. And unless you want a very heavy kit along with many other problems; then fiberglass is what you are left with.

Quality control can only do so much. It would be nice to have a better way to insure proper fit, but I have a feeling thats not something that will easily be achieved.

Fits like turd or not, I love their style and what they have done for the bodykit community.

i have seen a authentic veilside kit in person on a local rx8 here, it was quality grade materials... i cant comment on the fitment because i wasnt involved in that process..

i myself have the ACCOLADE cspec body kit on my car.. http://body-kit.com/maz06rx8cspec.html it fit pretty nice though it did need some minor adjustment near the headlight..
