WTS Mazdaspeed Coilovers (Broken)

Hey guys, i have a set of mazdaspeed coilovers for sale. Been sitting in my garage for a long time already. and i'm probably not going to do anything with it so might as well see if there is any interest on this. FYI for everyone, these coilovers came with helper springs, previous owner of the coilovers forgot or didnt use the helper springs so i had to find helper springs for it... all came from eibach themselves brand new before install.

Condition:
2 Front Mazdaspeed coilovers (Good Condition)
1 Rear Mazdaspeed coilover (Good Condition)
1 Rear Mazdaspeed coilover (Broken..)

Price:
$350 obo (negotiable of coarse)
$400 Shipped!

This thread contained pictures of the snapped coilover compared to other rear coilover that was taken off to install the stock suspension. https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-trouble-shooting-95/mazdaspeed-coilover-problems-155940/

I'll add some pictures from there to here, will take pictures of the front and the other rear that isnt broken. Honestly, it might be fixable, i'm not too sure, when sold, it'll come with all the parts that it came with and ask me for the pda of the install guide. For those who want an adjustable front suspension, put these on with your rear spring and shock, i really dont know, be creative.. hahaha. anyways, hope i can find a buyer, shoot me an offer, take a look at the damage, you may be able to weld it back on and have no problems, i jus dont have the time to do that though.. for those who do have the mazdaspeed coilovers, you can use these for spare parts incase something where to happen

Someone works in a machine shop should be able to fix it with very little work.

I really want those, but for that price + shipping to me + the time and money i need to spend to fix it.....it wouldn't worth it for me. especially when Canadian dollar is so low right now.

Anyway, i will tell u how u can fix it. take both rear shocks to machine shop, have them machine new thread onto the shock's shafts(where it's broken). This mean the rear shocks will be slightly shorter then before, and u will need to cut the other good rear shocks and make thread to make both rear shocks the same length. the slightly shorter rear shocks shouldn't affect anything, other then when the whole car jump up in the air, then the rear wheel will end up lift off the ground higher....coz the shocks are shorter.

then drill out, and make thread on the lower shock mounts, and reinstall.

it will worth it, for whoever works at a machine shop, or knows a good friend that works at one.

good luck with the sale

after a few weeks of actually being on the car after installation, it was alright until i was driving down a straight flat road and hear a snap. really thought nothing of it until i run over a bump, it would make a loud bang and so when i checked it out, the pictures are what i saw, well, the shock was only being held in place by the lower mount. other than that, the cause of the snapping was unknown.

ok maybe dumb question....how would running these coilovers in the front and another strut/spring combo in the back work out?

i mean afterall the front and rear spring rates are different....

to be honest, probably sucky unless you got the eibach springs with some good shocks. im pertty sure you can find a spring and shock combo that'll come close to the spring rate of the coilovers, the mazdaspeeds are not that aggressive. some may want to have adjustable front suspension. I ran the front coilovers a little bit longer with stock rear suspension and it didnt feel that bad, but i never did a spirited drive with that combo, so i cant really tell you that much about the difference between having the stock rear with front coilovers. that probably doesnt answer your question, if you have any other follow up questions, let me know
