#@&% Kumhos!!
good news: I am now a "co-owner" of a Corghi A2024 tire changer.
bad news: I just finished my first set of Kumho V710's, installing a set of 245/35-18's on the SSR's that Matt Francavilla was nice enough to loan us for Nationals.
Observations:
The upper bead has no interest in seating.
Too much tire lube is just enough.
Sunshine is your friend...seriously. I let the tires sit in the sun and it made a big diff...what do you do when its cloudy or cold?
I'd like to be able to get it done in less than the 2 1/2 hours it took me today (including pulling off those beautiful HoHo 285's)

Yeah, it is just a matter of learning the tricks that work. The first one took most of the time, then I figured out what I needed to do and they got progressively easier. Also, I should say I'm a "part owner" of the machine. My friend found it used (2 yrs. old) for $2500 and sold partial interests to a few friends for a couple of hundred. I'll have it "paid off" by my fourth R&R.
btw, Jason, I'm glad you said I was probably too old to learn, rather than too stupid...how old do you think I am, anyhow?

This is great news Mike.......Are you going to be offering a convienent "drop off" spot so we do not have to drive all the way to Alamo to get our tires mounted?
BTW - I always tip my tire guys......That's hard work.

I will be able to help people with tire changes, but there will have to be some form of significant renumeration...you really don't want to know the number of what my time is worth...
