I always scratch my head when people think they need back pressure... Why would you need exhaust back pressure? Back pressure is BAD, it creates a restriction to flow!
If you're talking about not enough exhaust scavenging then that's another thing.

Nice! That will be one hellafast RX8! Make sure you keep us posted! I have my own plans to make it to the track this summer still but knee surgery has kept me down. I would love to catch some 12's but I'm still quite a ways off I'm sure and I don't see many more mods coming for this season.
Good luck Firecran

On a side note, what setup do you have under the hood of your turbo SE? I have an 84 and the majority of an old Cartech kit is sitting in a box in my spare room I have debated installing for the last year or so but haven't. I have always thought a turbo SE would be unbelievably fun.

Cool man, I hope you can make it. Sucks being the only RX-8 there.
The first time i went i was getting the wtf RX-8 at the drag strip looks from unsuspecting V8 owners until we ran then it was like wtf just happen or I get a big thumbs...lol
I'm not say that I'm the fastest thing out there either, it was just humorous.
Good stuff bro! You got 12's in her!

Yeah, I've owned first gen 7's for over 10 years now, I have looked up plenty of t2 swaps, just wondered how YOU personally did it. That is the same color as my very first car. Like I said, I now own an almost complete circa 1988 GSL SE Corky Bell Cartech turbo kit. I have debated putting it on for over a year now but I decided one race car was enough and I needed a reliable backup so I have since put the money into the 8 instead of the 7. Good ole 7club has probably taught me 75% of what I know about cars and I'd say 90% of what i know about 7's. Real good, helpful guys over there.

This time I'll take out my sound system and passager seat or maybe just up the boost a pound to two we'll see.
