2007 SCCA Nationals B-Stock Weights
Since you guys are talking about them all the time here is what I recorded from the SCCA impound weight log. I hope someone finds it helpful.

I know when Jennifer ran, in heat 2, the car was not under 2800... When we weighed this year in TX, and in 05'-06 at various pros and tours, I was right around 2830, not sure what the deal was in KS.
The real scary part is Thompson was on 285 V710 VS my 245s, that alone is another 8 lbs less he had. His car must have been on E. I was under a 1/4 after my last run.
I wonder how 92/192 gained/lost 100 lbs between drivers. Seems like this data is as good as the camber numbers from natls.

I know at least 25lbs or so of the difference between my car and Jason's is purely a function of "liquid weight", as we finished with a bit over a quarter tank of gas. There's also about 6lbs or so attributable to the wheel/tire combo, as we were on heavier SSR's and the 285 Hoosiers (which actually weigh pretty much exactly the same as the 245 Kumhos).
How Carter, on the heavier 285 Kumhos, was lightest is beyond me...must have filled those fat boy tires with helium
I don't know if the scale was light, heavy or correct, but I think there's much more information in the car weights than in the "camber measurements"

Great place for my new questions.
A sport tips the scale from the factory at under 3000lbs?
What is the actual weight?
What are people doing to cut weight?
Where is the weight coming off from? front/rear . . .left/right . . sprung/unsprung?

The only modifications allowed in B stock that would change weight from stock are wheels, tires, shocks, front swaybar, catback exhaust, and fluid levels. Feel like I am forgetting something...?

The only magnetic stuff were the numbers and class letters...maybe 2 lbs max?
If you did have all the contingency decals and other stuff on magnetic backing, maybe you could get to 10lbs. or so, I guess.
Which day did we weigh the cars? Day one or day two? We did run the heavier Whiteline bar on one day...

Pretty obvious typo. Each car was only weighed once (per class). All the co-driven cars should have identical weights for both drivers.

The base and sport model 6MT RX-8's weigh under 3,000lbs with a full tank of gas. In SCCA 'stock class' autocross the main weight savings come from running light-weight wheels, single exit catback exhaust and as low as a fuel load as possible w/o fuel starvation.
FWIW, a 6spd automatic RX-8 with nav and almost every available option probably weighs in around 3,100lbs.
