I dont have stock springs though.... mine are "supposed" to be 20% stiffer then stock.

You have 20% more spring but you start out lower and have a bigger 285 tire pulling your car over. If you cut your bumpstops I bet you could get it to rub.

You guys are on your own Sun.... I have had my fill of POS courses up there. I am going to run with PCA at El Toro. No reason for me to drive twice as far for less runs on a slow course.

I have been told the next course will be different, Mike Simani (STU BMW driver), is doing the course. Even then a 15 min drive and 12+ runs seems like a better way to spend the day than a 1 hr 15 min drive for 3 runs.

Come on mp5, cant let those BSP guys win.

mp5, Sean told me he may start to run your car at cal club?

He did? Interesting.

So far I plan on being there. As we saw in SD, the tires are pretty slow... but it should be easy to take down BSP anyways.

The car that gave BS fits in 2005. The new owners are Socal guys and it looks like they are going to play with PCA this year. Hmmm maybe I will get to do some runs in it.

So if I remember correctly, the course today had about 7 slaloms (including the 2-cone ones). It was pretty fun to drive though.

Too bad I coned away my 59.870 run and gave away the cup win. I had to sit on my first run (61.5) and it wasn't quite enough for Keith's 60.3. Sorry Jason.

F$#@ing cones!

That was a fun course--especially the mega-slalom. Almost felt sorry for the guys who entered on the right. There were a couple of sections I just couldn't line up right. 61.984 was the best I could muster.

100 points....yeah. Wow...99.5 is pretty damn close Jason. You got 4 runs, correct? I did as well. I did feel like that 4th run gave me an advantage. I knew I already had BSP, but was pushing it a bit to see if I could get the gap needed to pull off the #1 spot for the Cup. There was more time out there, and this would have been one of those faster events where Ulllose could have put a bigger gap between him and the field.

Good event Rick, very nice time.

First time in Cesar's car in competition. It is definately overstear prone, but maneageble. Definately nice to be able to shift through gears like I enjoy, without that concern I have when driving my car.

For those who don't know the current info on my tranny. I have my car, but the tranny is in worse condition than when I originally took it to them. It is basically undriveable. The dealership was suppposed to call me this morning with an offer, to fix the problem. No calls yet.

Yeah, but on my re-run I stopped very early for a down cone so didn't get 4 looks "at speed" like you did. I knew the 61.5 from my 1st run wasn't gonna get it done since I was just feeling out the car/tires on that one.

I had a good 2nd run going but pulled off a big 45 degree drift after the mega-slalom which cost a lot. I pushed just a bit too hard on the 3rd run.

Quoting my buddy TeamRX8: "I'd rather cone out respectable runs than run clean and dog *** slow"

Not taking anything away from your run. It looked good from my point of view and I knew the time would be quick.

Things could get interesting with the cup.... I am almost sure I will miss the May 27th event, as long as PCA will have me I will keep running with them and many of their dates conflict with Cal Club. It is just way to convenient and lots of fun to turn down the PCA events at El Toro.

I hope mp5 will get his head out of his @ss and keep up the BS ownership of the cup. I guess if he cant get it done maybe his co-driver will step up.

If Cal Club has the two day Divisional is that going to be part of the cup?

My response to that would be, if that event counts towards end of year points for Cal Club, than yes....if this is just a stand alone event like a Pro Solo or SD Tour, than I would say no.

That's my opinion, but I'm not really sure what a "Divisional" day is. Was this something scheduled last year as well?

ok formula guys.....how does Cal Club determine points within a car class. I know the top time earns a score of 100.

How do you determine what second place receives:

For example 1/14/07 event:
Casey finished in 1st with 64.787
Fernando (#168) finished in 2nd with 64.924.

Isn't it (Fastest Time / Driver Time) X 100?

So, in this example:

Casey would be (64.787/64.787)X100 = 100.000
Fernando would be (64.787/64.924)X100 = 99.788
