I was actually watching that run from about the same angle as the photographer. It was amazing to see his slalom speed entering that corner. When he came around at the same speed he went wide....kicked out the rear and took out on of the cones on the next corner entering the timing light. He was so close to clearing the cone. Very fun to watch. Many people who were watching that run commented on the corner entry speed...having good comments for both Jason, and the RX8 as a powerful car in BS.

Your co-driver will be co-driving my RX-8 at SFR Event 12. He put on a show this past weekend by taking 2nd top raw time, http://www.sfrscca.org/solo2/Results...d10_lists.html. The course suit big fat R-comp and high HP (in the right place that is), but also reward transition, such as his ASP RX-7.
We may or may not do Packwood, depending on how sucky we are in the next few events.

Hey all,
I wanted to jump on here and invite you all to the Formula SAE West competition next week. The competition is Wednesday (6/13/07) - Saturday (6/16/07). The autocross event will be Friday afternoon, and there will be an endurance race on Saturday from about 9am-2pm. Cal Poly Pomona will be competing with our 2007 racecar, designed and built by students. If you enjoyed the PFM practice events we hosted with the Los Angeles (CSCC) region, we'd enjoy seeing you at the event.
The event is free for spectators, and it's on the inside track (you could walk around inside the pit garages last year). If you want to contact me for more info, please email me, as I don't check my PM's too often anymore. (Cesar, I just now replied to your PM from last month).
Thanks,
Scott Borg

I am assuming this is at California Speedway? You didn't specify location other than "it's on the inside track".
It's right down the street, so I hope to come check things out. Good luck out there....will you be driving at all...if so, which events?

yes, it was me who sent an email to the event chair. I basically asked Renee if it was possible to change the run/work order for BSP given that most of BSP would be at my wedding, instead of the event. I suggested to her that we would have five or six people missing the autocross event, but that we could make it if we ran/worked in the morning session.
I will still be missing the July event....and now the August event as I will be in Mexico. I had an incentive more than the others to try and get the event changed....as we are only able to drop two events, and having three missed events in a row was going to mean I would have a "zero" that I could not drop.

with our current BSP group, there is definately an opportunity for anyone to take first place at each event. The point totals so far are very close between 1st and 5th.
Now, if the Berry Evo entered BSP, or even if you or any of the other BS guys wanted to compete in BSP all year, it would be a different story.
But, this is not the case, BSP...as far as Cal Club goes, is a bunch of guys who are using daily drivers as their weekend warriors. We all have the same intentions with our vehicles. There is more that could be done to them, but we balance street and track. This affords us the ability to remain competitive with each other, but keeps us from being what we really should be...and when a true BSP car arrives, or a true driver comes, we get it handed to us.
We definately have a fun group...and I can imagine it will go down to the final one or two events.

Actually, if the schedule holds up we will have 14 events. The CalClub rules say you get to drop 4 of those. If we have 13, we get 3 drops.
I need all the drops I can get as I plan to run SD on the 24th. I think it would be cool to get 2 championships this year, BS in Fontana and SS down here.

I think the cup has already been decided. I'll consider it a victory if I can beat ULLLOSE at one event this year. Maybe I should drive your car again.
