^Thanks! It was a fun battle between Karl & I in my car. On Saturday, he had me by .030 after his third and my second run, but I was able to put about .3 sec on him in my third run, and on Sunday it was similar - his third and my second runs were almost identical, but again on my third I managed to stretch the lead by another .1 or so. Any day I can be quicker than an Evo instructor in my car is a good day, and when it happens to be a divisional, so much the better!
Congrats to Brian - he had quite a battle on his hands with Chirs Kannan but he managed to stay ahead.
Hollis put the ***-whoopin on us for sure. He had .7 sec on me Sat, but I Sunday I only spotted him .45 sec or so. Sunday's course let me get the engine into the powerband more often and that certainly helped. Overall that's a much smaller margin than what he had me by at nats last year, and I'm happy about that.
I was also quicker (indexed) than Geoff Clark in STU, which is one of the benchmarks we use. Again, makes me happy as we have been struggling with that up until recently, but now that the car is sorted, it's feeling pretty fast.
Jerry Jenkins did unnatural things with his ES Miata. Yes, that's not uncommon, but this weekend he was just out there. I'm officially nominating Jerry for Alien status.
Fun weekend!

Weather was interesting. It was overcast in the morning on Saturday, and it actually sprinkled a bit before my first run. Never rained after that until after final runs on Saturday. It rained moderatly Saturday evening.
Sunday started overcast by dry, and then cleared up by noon or so. So nobody had an actual "wet" run, but I'm blaming my near-spin on my first run on Saturday on the imperceptable moisture on the ground.
PAX results are interesting. Jerry in third, thought it would have been better. 42nd for me, blah. Nats is going to be tough, for sure.
