4 lap of intense driving of none stagger 295/30/18 Re71rs
The diff temperature not even 120C !!!!!!!!!
I have done fair amount research for my need and glad it work out greater then i expect
So Guys think out side of box ~

if it works it works, but there are some considerations to be made before drawing a final conclusion.
1. The measurement being made is surface temp, not the actual oil contact temp.
2. Multiple changes were made; what is the contribution of each?
A test without the heat sink on there with just the wrapped pipe only would help define what each is contributing.
Not trying to argue with or knock you, but radiator fin cooling isn’t new. It’s hard to believe all the race engineers over over all the years chose to go with a more complex pump and cooler setup if all they had to do instead is add heat sink fins. Thinking out of the box is great and I’m all for it, but I’ve seen a lot of people so far out of it that they overlook the obvious while doing so.

2 1+1=2 this time
3 i rember once you said before. u think exhaust wrap wont help at all on diff cooling
last
i am not saying i invent totoaly new concept . diff cooler is still must much need it if you are doing W2W sprint or endurance race. or can even using this concept as extra protection . if you are doing like time attack or Track day. for doing only few lap
u can get away with it , my concept of diff cooling fin is not new but i try to squeeze most surface cooling area in this package
and it work, when i testing yesterday. no sign of over heat and
i can feel the lsd locking ratio still conistant unlike
last time when diff is over heat

If anything, this thread is a reminder to bother wrapping my exhaust pipe

Some report of my 5.3 final drive, it been perform nicely for pass 4-5 event , but lately
Develop a bad vibration At high speed in freeway
It happens when speed above 150km
And is pretty bad vibration from rear , swap the wheel hope is out of balance
Stilling happening , I suspect should be bad rear u joint at first
But with park brake lock , there's still big free play at
this might be piņon nut work itself loose ???
And after I jack up the rear end of car for overnight, I can see a tiny wet spot of oil at diff flanges
Both video clip is taking with park brake lock

Was suspicious on piņon nut come loose
Is just too rare , I was busy with Gr Yaris for pass 3-4 mo
Finally have time for my Rx8 today
So I have spare driveshaft ready
But end out as I suspect, the piņon nut come loose for unknown reason
U can see I use new piņon nut too
So I Clean the thread put some thread locker
Re TQ to 180NM , let see how it will hold up
Oil look pretty new without out metal
Look like no damage form it
