Unfortunetly, my mullet wig and AC/DC shirt didn't arrive in time from ebay. I would have grown my own mullet but that would just take too long...maybe I can have it in production by nationals. 
I seriously wanted to show up with the wig and T-shirt...that is just too funnay to me.
I thought about getting a triumph t-shirt for day two.

Just a quick note to add a tire datapoint to this thread....we were running on 285/30r18 A6's. The same tires I ran at the ProSolo Finale last September. The tires started the event with 12 runs on them, survived the 23 runs (18 class, 5 Challenge) that Mike and I put on them at the event on the harsher than average concrete surface. They are now ready to be flipped on the wheels (no cording yet) and will likely be good for test and tune/ local events for another 25-35 runs.

285's ..... the minor increase in section width isn't worth the trade off in weight or more importantly, the extra 4 tenths of an inch O.D. of the 295's . IMHO.
Plus...I think you have to wear a Gold Chain(s) to be allowed to run 295's on your car

Newport ProSolo Makes Debut

NEWPORT, Ark. (April 15, 2008) – The Newport Municipal Airport, located in the northeast corner of Arkansas, had never hosted a Solo event before, but that didn’t stop the Arkansas Region from diving head first into the Solo pool and hosting the second Tire Rack® SCCA ProSolo Series event of the season.
Newport and the surrounding area had been plagued with rain and flooding in the weeks leading up to last weekend’s ProSolo, but the rain held off long enough to get the entire event in dry, albeit with unseasonably cool temperatures.
Newport was the first single-course event of the year So smooth and efficient was the event that the city owned and operated airport offered the use of both runways for next year, which would allow room for a second course.
While oftentimes a new venue results in surprise winners, that was not the case in Newport, where Solo powerhouse Andy Hollis was dominant all weekend. After winning Bump Class 1 in his Soulspeed/ART/GRM Honda Civic Si, Hollis tore through the competition in the Hawk Super Challenge to take home the top prize and Honda Tuner Challenge Honors. Hollis even walked away with the Honda Hot Shoe award after facing Joe Tharpe’s A Stock-winning Tire Rack Honda S2000 in the final shootout. After a weekend of runner-up finishs at El Toro, Hollis walked away with a sweet paycheck for his performance at Newport.
After finishing third in Ladies Class 2 driving the familiar Isotope Wheels/Automotive Pros Toyota MR2, Meredith Brown would not be denied the top spot in the Ladies Challenge, where she beat L2 winner Tara Johns and her ABC Plumbing Mazda Miata.
Michelle Seeling took the ChaseCam Bonus Challenge win in a Bridgestone/Carbotech/Redline Honda CRX Si, beating out Jeff Spector’s Spector Racing/Donnies Foreign Car Honda Civic Si for the victory.
Several class victories were extremely close, including Chris Harvey’s B Stock win. Harvey’s Tire Rack Mazda RX-8 was just 0.188-second faster than the Vettesport/Koni RX-8 of Carter Thompson. In C Stock, Darrin DiSimo’s Mazda MX-5 out maneuvered Craig Wilcox’s Oasis Tan/ZZYZX Motorsports MX-5 by only 0.164-second.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Mark Madarash crushed his E Street Prepared competition, winning the class by more than 4.5 seconds in a Pontiac Trans-Am. And despite starting the weekend with a two-cone penalty on his first run, Jeffrey Pilson came storming back to take the H Stock win in a Subaru Impreza.
The Tire Rack SCCA ProSolo Series takes a break before picking things back up on May 17 – 18 at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the return of the Atlanta Doublecross. The next single-course ProSolo event will be at the Seneca Army Depot in Romulus, N.Y., July 26 – 27.

So Chris, what kind of tire temps were you seeing? I was running the same size 710's and we would occasionally see 100% but only on the driver side front.

We didn't bring the pryometer to grid, but the "hand test" during the event showed luke warm to warm on the fronts for 2nd and 3rd runs in each session. Maybe 80% of that on the rears. We didn't get much clag on the tires until the Challenge rounds, which tells me the tire temps remained moderate through out the event. Lack of grip off the line and the exit of the turnaround (never did get that right) were the biggest issues. Mostly due to the drivers lack patience. I thought the transition grip, on line, was pretty good after the Sat AM session, but never reached Peru/Forbes levels.
