Atwater Pro Solo

Standings after Saturday's runs:

Joe G
Jason I (ULLLOSE)
Mark S (TeamRX8)
Jason M (mp5)
Anna G
Jennifer I
Barbara B
BMW driver1
BMW driver2

Joe Goeke is owning the field on old tires, about .5 ahead of Isley. TeamRX8 had a rough start with a bunch of cones, but cleaned it up during the 2nd session to close to within 0.1 of Isley. I'm killing cones as well, with only one clean run on the left and about a second off of TeamRX8 and barely ahead of the ladies.

Hard to adjust to the tighter courses after last weekends wide open action.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. All of the ladies are perfectly capable of putting the smackdown on me, and I'm sure we'll see some of that today.

Somehow I knew TeamRX8 would post something.

Here's the link to the results, which for some reason aren't showing up on the main SCCA page: http://www.scca.org/Event/Result.asp?Ref2=269

Final Sunday results: http://www.scca.org/Event/Result.asp?Ref2=270

Check out my awesome left course times:
35.398(1) 32.840 37.052(2) 34.469(1) 36.795(2) RL

Since I am apparently not capable of driving a clean run, the ladies did indeed put the smackdown on me on Sunday.

Congrats to Joe for the win...

Looks like it was a good shoot out in BS. Nice driving by all.
What is up with BSP,ESP, and Vic in SM. Wow are those guys smokin'!
Lot's of close racing and less than one tenth victories in several classes. Must have been a great event.
Hmmm...it's always dangerous to see Matthew Braun back in a Miata

I was disappointed with my driving, the car was more than capable so no excuses ...

congratulations to Joe, he has both his RX-8 and driving hooked up well

Well, If I were Joe and I'd just schooled the 2005 BS National Champion two
weekends in a row, I certainly wouldn't waste my time around all these losers!

LOL, that was during the Challenge. I was #33 on the Challenge list, first person on the outside edge (they choose he highest 32 finishers by time differential from their respective class winners). Thanks to Ulose bowing out I made it in, but then had to go up against the No. 1 Challenger, Scott McHugh/AS. It was a valiant effort but he was a bit too much for me on this day, beating me by 0.350 sec overall. Still think those were my best two runs of the event

Me leaving the line ahead of Scott due to BS's higher dial-in time, rear end sqatting low and digging in, the car launched hard all weekend

somewhere out on course, it was a pitch & catch affair for most of the run, inside getting light and up in the air, we had a BMW M3 get completely up on two wheels with the inside wheels over a foot off the ground at the corner I was working at Sunday, I thought he was going over for sure but the driver smartly turned out of it and brought the car back to the ground
