Edit: Interestingly, so far this year the B Stock leaders have been turning times comparable to, and in some cases, better than, the AS S2000s -- at Atwater, Ron outran Joe, and Randy, Jason, and I all went faster than the next fastest S2000. While I still believe that the S2000's a better autocross car than any of the current BS cars, it seems that perception overwhelmed reality, and that many of the current BS crop could have had a shot even while the S2000 was still around. Heresy! Lynch the n00b! :D An 8 will never be as fast as an S2000 on concrete. I refuse to beleive it.... until I do it myself. :D

Yup; you're looking at one of the slower ones.

The S2000 contingent is definitely smaller than it was last year, but a small core of strong drivers remains -- Joe Goeke was one of the two guys who dominated BS on the west coast last year, and in the Midwest, Jason Saini and Steve Wynveen (1st and 3rd in Topeka last year) are still campaigning their S2000s.

I'd say the PAX is about right, and that all things being equal, the S2000's probably on average a half second faster than the BS leaders on a 60 second course. We'll see...
