Now, let me ask you: am I nuts, or you were closing in on turns and the 8 was outgunning you coming out of them until one of the last exits when you passed it?

yeah it is a lots of fun, I recommond for everyone to at least try it once. As for closing while going in turns, since he is slowing first in turn it looks like I'm gaining, but if you time the gap between cars, it would be the same going in turn than before turn. Drivieng out of turn is the opposite, since he gets on the gas first, it seems like he is pulling away but if you time the gap it would be the same. By the way, he let me pass because I was gaining on him every lap, it won't have been that easy of a pass if we were racing for real, this was just a time trial.

 

What lap times were you turning 1 min 37ish? And was that thing with the hideous wing in front of you guys an FC? Also, it doesn't seem like he was pulling you in the least down the straights, was that the case?

 

yeah I was doing 1:37's starting the day and by end of the day I was in 1:35's. and yes that was a FC.
The RX8 wasn't pulling on me. With the mods I have, I think my car is making about 200hp and it is couple of hundred pounds lighter so it makes sense.

the braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap exhaust sound that's predominant in the video, is that from the FC in front of you, or is taht your exhaust??

 

That was the FC

 

exactly what i thought, since no piston engine can make an exhaust sound like that :D
