That "little girlie car" is probably the biggest adrenaline drain I've ever experienced...

First day, I sucked and left a bunch of time on the table, second day was better, but I lost the blower belt midway through my third run, which was a flier...still went quicker than my second, with about 120hp for the last half of the course

Once we get the real suspension in the car, add the aero and get some seat time, it should be pretty quick, I believe.

Already quick enough to send a couple of Lotus drivers home with 2nd place.

Congrats to Jason/Rob/Mark/James, BS is not getting any easier for sure. mp5, who drove in BS at SD last year, made a big splash with T2 in SS. He's one fast rising star!

We are still recovering from the delayed Southwest flight and lack of sleep over the weekend. Once we find the tail that is missing between our legs, we will post the videos up, if not too demoralizing and embarrassing.

The 'Kook did show a flash of hope on my last run, when all was lost with me coning right after the start. We will see if it's worth experimenting at El Toro still.

The very fast Lotus was supposedly on 100-run tires, as I heard over miata forum. So I'm sure both Mike/Glenn and the Lotus will be ready to duke it out again at El Toro with guns blazing.

I heard they, like many people, were on their Natls tires. Not sure how a set of tires from natls has 100 runs on them.

I have no reason not to believe them, if they say they had 100 runs, then that's what they had...but, they did pass the "fingernail test", no problem, feeling pretty darn good when warmed up. I do believe that the slicks (we run DOT R's, presently) are at their best for the first 30 runs or so and then fall off a bit, so I'm sure they would have been faster on freshies.

BTW, good job, Jason. You guys got pretty hosed on the course conditions, running in RG1, for sure. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that RG4 had by far the best conditions each day...except for the very few who got hosed by rain on their third runs Saturday.

Thanks Steve. It was an interesting weekend. On Saturday neither of us could get the times we needed. Coning runs 1 and 2 never helps either. We made a slight swaybar adjustment for Sun, but it really didn't change the car much... I guess we just pulled our heads out of our asses. I was just hoping to move up to 5th, but guess I tried a little too hard and shot up to 2nd.

I'm still not sure if I'm fast or not... seems to come randomly at times.

That is how it starts. At some point you will figure out how you are screwing up the rest of your runs and win one.

That is harsh, even I did not go there.... Only because I did not think of it.

Heh, I'm fine with it. Leslie was awesome all weekend... I was dissapointed when she switched from open class to ladies Friday night.

I'm sure Gary's taking it a bit harder.

To be fair, RG4 had the very best conditions each day...by a good margin.
