Dixie Natl Tour.....

We'll see. I haven't autoxed since I can't quite remember when...maybe August...and Aaron hasn't since Nat'ls.
I'm just glad to have a functional car after this.
I was also concerned about some sort of meguiars-looking substance I noticed on my dipstick yesterday...but after a search here, it seems that's a normal cold-weather condition.

Ugh, bummer man. I keep having a recurring nightmare where I spend all this time and money to get my car prepped for the autocross season and then wreck it on the way to the event.

thanks, guys...$8500 worth of repairs (without even scratching either front fender)
I got sideways coming around a curve on a snowy/icy road...basically t-boned an oncoming pickup in its driver's door while I was sliding perpendicular to the road...which spun me off the road and up a bank (the bottom black plastic piece of the rear bumper cracked from the trip up the bank)

Sorry to see NoCones crash.Hate that.
My guess is that the Dixie tour will not be much of an indicator with most drivers just out of Winter hibernation here in the East. The combination of new rides, months without seat time and forecasted rain both days may produce a conefest. But we are all anxious to get down to South Georgia and 75 degrees.

Sounds like you were okay, which is more important. I hope that the car is still competitive too.
Sorry to hear that I passed my three year nightmare to you.

that was me in 1996, crashed my FD3S Rx-7TT 3 days before infamous Blizzard Dixie Tour event, driving car on highway in the rain and it hydroplane-snapped into a broad slide at 60 mph ended up with the passenger door bowed around a tree

Weather also looks good for the Pro Solo practice Thursday and Cone Clinic on Friday.
I get that milky looking stuff on my dipstick even down here, NoCones, even with Mobil 1. Sorry about the crash. Snow sucks. Does your car have traction control out of curiosity? Mine has saved me a couple of times in the rain with too much gas coming out of a side street onto a 50 mph highway, but not sure how good it is in the snow.
My son is bringing his Miata on Friday so he doesn't miss an extra day of school so he could always drive that if someone wants to co-drive my stock car in STU or his Miata on Falkens in CSP. I bought him stock rims so he could run stock and he proceeds to make other nickel and dime minor mods that take him out of stock.

Got the car aligned this morning...the wreck doesn't seem to have had any impact on its align-ability.

I won't be running this event but I will be there on Sunday to hopefully look up some BS drivers. Would like to see how others set up there cars since I just switched from CS miata to BS RX8. Weather should be pretty good, dry,not too hot. Should be interesting.

Is Carter running 285 Kumhos? (since they seem to be the only people in the world to be able to get them on the 8" rim...)
I did notice where the only Team HoHo car is at...
