First full event in the 8
Haven't posted here in a while, figured you guys might enjoy some videos from the track this weekend. Event was TrackDaze Summit Point Shenendoah.
I blew up my FD in march at VIR so while the car is down for the move to the dark side (LS6 swap) I 'borrowed' the wife's Rx8 for the weekend. Car is bone stock on SO-3s with Carbotech XP10s front and the stock pads rear. I had a hell of a time not being a moving chicane in the instructor group. Had a great student and was really fast in his red RX8.
Anyway, here's the first vid. I had another uploaded of another instructor buddy driving my car, but stupid youtube removed it because it was too long. Camera is a FlipHD ultra mounted using a ChaseCam suction cup mount to the bumper.

I was fortunate to have Joe as my instructor. He showed me some awesome lines around the track and I was eating up the green class by the end of the day. Overall it was a great experience and I recommend it to anyone. You will learn the limits of your vehicle and more importantly you will learn how important seat time really is. Joe was lapping this circuit a lot faster than me in a stock RX-8!!!! I had done a lot of mods but now it's time to do the driver mod. haha

I'll be there friday.....I hope it doesn't rain...but I think it's going to
I also found out the guy I park next to at work, who owns a red solstice, is an instructor up at SP (forget his name now). He used have a corvette or something.
