We may be arguing semantics here because you are correct, bogging off the line (trying to launch at a lower RPM) will result in slower times but I'm just saying that blazing the tires and spinning through first gear isn't the best thing to do either. I like to call it hazing the tires right off the line but then hooking throught the rest of the run.

Tires gives best traction when they are right at the edge of traction circle so you should get a very little bit of screech and no more.

my best times came with a launch at 7500 close to 8 k for my 14.5 14.7 range if i launch at 5k to 6k i get in the 14.9 to 15.2 range

they switched to the .000 perfect launch last year so my times weren't that great actually


and sorry for the long response i kinda forgot bout this thread

ok when i launched i revved to around 4-5k and launched i didn't have any tire spin but i had a good bit of axle hop. i wanted to run the car just like it was normally setup. i think i more or less did things pretty standard for dragging. i wanna get my R/t's down some more though. i MAY do it again but its doubtful i'm more of a corner person / backroad stuff so this was just to kill some boredom on a cold day
