Global track times
Is there a list anywhere of times the 8 puts down at various tracks? Specifically, Nurburgring , Tsukuba, Fuji Speedway, Road America, Laguna Seca, etc.... I know the 8 isn't as fast as S2000, 350Z, skylines, Z06's, etc... but it would be cool to see how it stacks up. All times are Rx-8 unless specified.

Pacific Raceways (Seattle, WA): 1:46:98
This was my first track day in a car in 7 years, and my car was completely stock with stock bridgestone tires, so I'm sure a lot of improvement can be made here in an 8.

You can find a lot of results on here: http://mylaps.com/ you may need to set up an account. Look for T2 or T3 results to find RX8s in SCCA events.

The car is stock except stiffer front swaybar bushings, modified intake and exhaust and some rt616 195/60/14's. The poor thing could not get over 95 even in turn 8 where my MSP and Subaru would do 120. Unfortunately I don't have times for the Subie or Protege

That actually was not my lap but it was someone who I atteneded the event with. Unfortunately I did not run that day. I am going back to Willow early next year. By comparison, a fast STI with RA1's ran 1:41 that same day.

Most people in my run group with timers were around the 1.44 mark. Will you be there for the NASA event in Feb? I plan on taking the MSP out that day. If it wasn't for spending $20k on a wedding, I'd have my 8 by then.

The next event that I will be attending is through NASA at Ca. Speedway on the Roval course... They hold it every year in January and is their first event... Damn, January is a long way away though!!

You guys are lucky that you can track race as early as Janurary. Those of us in Chicago have a good 2-4 month down time where there isn't much of anything going on except ice racing.

You can find my times under the name DAVEFZR.

streets of willow -
on stock tires with konis and springs with an aggresive alignment i ran high 1:34s (ive ran faster laps since then IMO but they stopped renting out laptimers unless you run with the advanced group. im waiting to get r compounds before i make the jump).
my instructor, in a bone stock rx8 with r compounds was in the low-mid 1:33 range.
