Haven't autocrossed in 3 days.

I might suggest that in order to keep your skills finely honed, you find new neighborhoods where they have paved the roads, but not yet started construction. Then, set up a lap timer (use a friend if you have one handy), and start spending a couple hours a day running various courses through the empty neighborhood. Many times, the police are not yet patrolling these empty roads, since there is no traffic, or houses, or construction material to be stolen yet.
With enough track time, you'll find the withdrawal symptoms from lack of autocrossing are at least dulled. I find that 1-2 hours per day seems to help.
Once they start construction, you'll also find that the various backhoes, dump trucks, and contractor pickup trucks make fine (but immovable) substitutes for cones. Be wary of contractors wandering onto the track.
Also remember that once construction starts, tire replacement is going to be mandatory, since nails, flashing, and various other debris will soak up your tire budget quickly. Tire Rack can ship overnight, but expect to pay more.
Three days is a long time! Don't wait! The shakes will set in faster than you imagine!
(Please, no flames or suggestions needed. This is supposed to be FUN! IT'S A JOKE, PEOPLE!!!)
