I have the sheet from the previous alignment, and it shows the original settings I mentioned. What happened is, about a year after getting it back from corner balancing, I raised it 1/4" to solve the problems with my steep driveway, and I removed some of the camber by doing that. I just didn't think 1/4" would change it that much.

Next time I take it in for alignment, I'll have them max it out at 2.4 and see how that works out for me. That will probably be around this time next year.

.

I wonder how much of that wear is due to having a softer sidewall tire mounted on a wheel at the narrow end of the recommended width range? I'd think that's a significant factor for that wear that you're seeing.

I imagine you are right. I was actually concerned enough about that in the beginning to run my pressures higher than normal, and I am certainly glad I did.

by all reports it's a very stiff tire, S2k guys running same width on 7" wheel, but have a hard time getting it to seat

probably a Captain Obvious post, but to clear things up...

It will take a complete dismount of all 4 & remount, but, you can get them rotated to the other side of the car and still keep the directional pattern correct. Just yank the tire off, remount it with the inside as the outside, and then when you go to put it on the car you put it on the opposite side. Easy.

It's not like these are asymmetric sidewalls or anything funky like some of the BFG R-comps from the early 2000s.

also, the correct directional position only matters in the rain, not the dry
