im posting in here whether you like it or not ...
OK, i was told that girls arent allowed to post in the racing area. So...just to thumb my nose at that particular person, I am going to!
I am an adrenaline junkie and will pretty much try anything once. if i like it, i'll prolly do it again. that being said ... im nervous at the thought of putting the shedevil on a racetrack, esp since shes my only ride.
Soooooo ... my solution, seeing as how ive never been to a track (outside of the drag strip) ive conned someone to take me along for the ride so i can check it out next month at RA.
anything i should be on the lookout for while im there?
thank you for allowing me to post here .... and :p to you who said i couldnt! :D

The only person that would say there's no place for women in motorsports was Bernie Ecclestone... he's not on this forum that I know of so everyone else can just shut their trap.
Other than that.. go and have fun? I have no advice for traking an 8... I do my 1st track day at NHIS in 3 weeks. Make sure your brakes are fine, and bring spares. Make sure you have fresh DOT4 or 5 brake fluid, and decent tread on the tires.

Jeans & long sleeve T is the common attire. As for things to look out for learning when to brake / turn (hit the APEX) & track safety are the main things to learn. Stay away from technical stuff like tire pressures, heel toe downshifting, trail braking. For your first time out on the track you want to get comfortable, brake at the right times and turn at the right time, the rest will come later.
