i had the privilege of tailgating that slow moving piece of pile during the last session of last day (when they merged C & D into one big group).... SOOOO SLOWWW

Anyone need any interior parts before they go to Ebay? Just took out most of the interior. Mazda did a good job of keeping everything light. Every little bit helps!
I know what you guys mean, there were several rolling roadblocks even in the instructor group. We got hung out for over a lap in C group waiting for a point by. I would rather not say who it is. It teaches you patience I guess.
What is everyones next event? I have not had time to look and see what is available.

Hey guys, I just registered to give all you RX-8 drivers some props. I never really liked the looks of the car until I saw a few this weekend that had some aero packages. It really makes the car look great. Also I had no idea they would handle as well as they do. Props to some good drivers out there for sure. The cars looked like they were alot of fun to drive on the Grand East and were ALOT faster through the twisties than I had ever thought. Mazda got it right with this car it seems.
This is my 2nd year doing this event with the Mazda group and the 3rd year in a row I have been to a mazda drivers event. It gets better every year. Anyway I have a new found respect for these cars and would actually consider one aftrer this weekend.
BTW, I was driving the flame shooting red EVO in group C.

The white GT3- your last photo- the guy towed it down to VIR with his Cayenne. ..and had his girlfriend drive down the Carrera C4S he just bought as a "weekend car". Talk about car envy.

Thanks for the Mazdadrivers pics. I see you got a pic of my instructor's NSX... the one who scared the cra... er, I mean, impressed me with the car's abilities. The Grand East video looked great too.
Hank - Terrific! I'm looking forward to seeing those videos!
Sir Lurks - Many thanks. Are you doing any other events this year?

Hey Guys... good times last weekend. I was the white evo in zoomzoomh's video.
That was the last run of the weekend. C and D group combined.
Thanks for posting it.
They black flagged me , so i had to come in to the pits. I was curious if you could see me doing anything blatently wrong to warrant a black flag? They said i passed in a no passing zone.
I later went back to look at the video (sunlight washed it out mostly) so it was hard to tell.
But I think one of two things happened. Either the white STI did something wrong and they thought it was me... by mistake . Or.. I took a pass after the yellow celica on the older rx7( after oak tree on the south stretch before bitch). That i probably shouldn't have.
Wish my vid for that run had come out.
Thanks again for the post.
Great weekend.
