Other than installing the bump stops back in, the car is fixed, but they don't know why!
If it was me I'd put that shop on the list of places to never go again!
Edit:
How do you like the Konis? Give us a mini review!

In the future, just know that if you want something done right, you've gotta do it yourself; or at least find a new shop.

My guess: it had nothing to do with bump stops and everything to do with the shop pulling the assembly and reinstalling correctly...i.e. tightening bolts with suspension loaded...but, I could be wrong

I don't think it had anything to do with the bump stops either. But they should be in there. And I assumed they would put them back in.
I am pretty sure it is the tightening the bolts with the suspension loaded. That seems to be the only other thing they did.
A different worker did the front than the back. The guy in the front loaded, the guy in the rear didn't .
Again, thanks for all the help here!

Watch out on getting an alignment. Some autocross guys here have horror stories around here.
***I'm assuming you are getting an alignment since you changed the suspension geometry of your car

Yeah, I asked for a custom alignment previously. We checked the alignment just before I did these shocks. Wasn't anywhere near what I asked for. I would never go there again.
I just had the alignment rechecked after the shock adjustments. I was fortunate to check the car still on the alignment rack, so I Saw the numbers are correct.
Yes, their instructions are WORTHLESS out of the box. I went online to the Koni site and downloaded some instructions which were better. Not great, but better. I described the adjustment process, not the installation though.

not loading the suspension has the opposite effect; it raises the car
otherwise it makes no sense, there's nothing I know of that can compress the springs beyond the the extended length of the shocks except for the weight of the car itself
if it was low in the front and high in the rear I'd maybe think that they swapped the springs onto the wrong end of the car

Exactly. Shy of leaving spring compressors in place on all four corners that somehow wouldn't interfere with the control arms, I just don't see how this could have happened.

I don't have an answer. Neither does the garage that did the work. OR they simply aren't telling me something............I don't know.
They took it back apart, put it together again (with the stops,....) and everything is as it should be.
