Why was Mazda banned from Lemans? What did they do?

dont think they were banned. they just changed the rules, which made them uncompetitive..

they didn't ban mazda from lemans, they just banned the rotaries if I'm not mistaken, cus mazda wooped those piston asses hard

Nothing was "banned", they did saddle the rotary with a lot of restrictions, which did make it uncompetitive, as the years after they won it all followed.
