Has anyone looked at the DBA 5000 series 2-piece rotors that are available for the RX-8?? They should be available from Stillen in California. I have no idea what they'd cost over there.

Here's a strange one. Went to check on my order (still 'pending'??), but then I found you can order the REAR replacement rotor rings, but there's no hub or listing for the whole unit under 2-piece rotors???

Looks pretty TeamRX8... but that pic got me scared I was getting drilled rotors! So went to check my order again... ... and Wheewf! The rotors I ordered appear to be only slotted.!
No offense, but I don't want any swiss cheese rotors on my car. Is your's the big brake kit @ 13"?

I went for minimum weight since my car will mostly see autox use, but in reality I doubt it makes much difference either way. I wanted those to be drilled slots too, but they couldn't do it that way. They're hardly swiss cheese, there aren't that many holes.
Yes, that is the full front BBK kit.

Yea, I really liked that idea of the drilled slots.. bummer they wouldn't do it. Wonder why? I would have gotten that if they had it, but I couldn't dee how to pre-order it. Space saving design and all that

If you just ordered it would have been the top choice of the three they are offering. When I ordered it was an extra $140 I think for the open slots. They give a pretty good breakdown of all the options on their site.

EDIT: RacingBrake is in the process of designing the RX-8 brake kit with deeper offset to clear the popular 18 x 9.5 Enkei RPF1 wheel sold through Goodwin Racing.
The original kit was designed around the stock 18" rim and it fits stock rim without any problem.
Upon later testing it was discovered that the Enkei wheel spokes curve in much sooner than the OE wheel and created a small interference issue.
The deeper rotor hat offset will resolve this and the new kit can still be installed with the OE brake shield in place if that is your preference.
