Maintenance for track cars

I have no idea how much extra maintenance I should be doing now that I'm regularly tracking the car . Can someone help with this please .

Engine oil changes
Oil filter change
Gearbox oil
Diff oil
Spark plugs
coils
coolant

any other regular maintenance you can think of would also be a help .

Yes - I searched

In my 100,000 mile THREAD I posted my complete maintenance log for my car from 115-100,007 miles. I also track my car 3-4 weekends a year. But to keep it simple here are some highlights of what I do.

Engine oil changes: every 3,000-3,500 miles
Oil filter change: Every oil change
Gearbox oil: Every year
Diff oil: Every other year
Spark plugs: every 30,000 miles
coils: went about 95,000 on mine
coolant: every 50,000

Brake fluid changed 2x a year ( before & after track season)
Brake pads as needed.
My sway bars have zerk fittings so I grease them every other oil change.

You don't think engine oil changes should be done more often than that with tracking the car Expo ?

Well I am using Royal Purple, most people go past 5,000 with RP. So doing 3,000 miles changes with RP sould be ok. Plus with the miles I do I end up doing an oil change almost every month.

OK thanks - I'm using Mazda dino oil so I guess I should change it more often

Do you bleed the brakes before each track day ?

No, I only bleed them when I do the fluid change over. I do bring a 'bleeding bag' and tools with me so If I need to do so at the track I can. Sometimes I have 2+ hours inbetween runs.

Depends how many track days do you do... I will do whatever oil I use since the track environment is not good for any oil in the market. Racecars do it every day of the meet.

I do it 2000km or every 3 track days, which ever comes first.
Oil filter is see if they are long between times (I will change every 2nd one at most).
Gear oil every 4-6 months.
Diff oil every 6 months to a year.
Coolant, however, is more long life.
Spark plugs, coz I use NGK racing plugs, I change them every 13000km. Even stock plugs will foul after 25000km and I can see misfire at high rev; you only see misfire usually at 8000rpm at fourth gear so I don't think the Americans will ever see it in home track. (*welcome to Phillip Island)
Brake fluid change whenever it is dirty. But I will change brake fluid every pad.
Coils are even more long life.

I bleed brake fluid before every event. This is something I never test the limits of.

change oil if it gets over 230 degress. beside you are topping off so much during a track w/e it is also good as a change. i run royal purple so i change every 5K.
filter every 2nd change
driivetrain change fluids x once a year.
coolant change and flush once a year.
coils, plugs as needed
i also take off the cat and put on a midpipe for the track.
brake fluid flush(not swapout) when i put track pads on, also check caliper sliders at this time and brake disc's--be sure to bed the pads in
check torque on suspension components for track prep
take the a/c belt off.
loosen the primary drive belt JUST A LITTLE.
clean oil coolers
mix up the premix

hey Scott
mine ended up being the omp was a little lose. Just tighten it up and it stopped. I have also been informed that at sustained high rpm a little blow out is going to occur

Check your wheel bearing play at the end of every season; that'll keep you from getting a suprise. Check your pads and rotors after each track day. I would do coolant once a year. Otherwise fluids like everyone else has said.
