Mazda Motorsports sells stainless clutch/brake lines
Ah the problems of crossposting. Does this belong in parts, tech or here? I'll let others decide.
Regardless, Mazda Motorsports Development is the grassroots racing branch of Mazda NA. They help individual racers with discount prices on competition parts.
I found they now sell braided stainless steel clutch and brake lines for the RX-8. The clutch line is $36 and the brake lines (all four) are $100. The brake lines are currently two weeks out on backorder.
They plan to have Hawk brake pads in two months or so. They also have competition radiators. Over $1000 but gives the equivalent performance of three stacked radiators. Good stuff.
You must be a competitive racer to qualify for their parts program. Autocross counts and simply sending them two race results will give you free membership for a year. See their website for more details.

So, with this whole scandal about Mitsubishi voiding warranties on their folks for tracking/racing their cars, is submitting timeslips/autocross results to Mazda Motorsports a good idea or not?

Only time will tell. I make no bones about what I do with the car. Let the chips fall where they may, but I don't think it's an issue.

Fair enough...I of course have run into my first real problem with aftermarket parts...and that is replacing them when they break, and the company that makes them won't have any in stock until 3 September...bah!
