As a single driver car asking the question; what lack of grip?
Got sideways in the sweeper and flubbed my 3rd run on Day 1, also coned away the fastest raw time on Day 2, so I'm not surprised that CS beat BS. IMO there was more time out there, it only required someone with the skill and car to make it happen. I'm just sayin' ....

Hey Mark -
I enjoyed meeting you officially for the first time and the smell of your Hawk brakes in the West course pre-grid.
Chris
PS- Spot us a cone or three on the East, I'm pretty sure we could all find another tenth or two

lol, well I knew it would blow a few egos out of the water to say it if you don't want to think it couldn't have been run faster then fine, but you're mistaken if you interpreted it as meaning that a hack driver like me could have gone faster I was surprised to have even managed a trophy, like I said, I'm just sayin'...
and here is the STS hubbub: http://sccaforums.com/forums/thread/321801.aspx
in answer to both posts, we all play by the same rules .... oh, and I love the smell of Porterfield brakes on a cold morning, not Hawk

This was my 10th Nat'ls, all of them in C-stock and B-stock. Any "Ego" I had was crushed long ago by the likes of Raymond, Braun, Telehowski etc. I think if you re-read my original post, you will see I blamed my inability to adapt to the course conditions for my poor first day runs. And heck yea we could have all gone faster, I left big chunks of time on the West and not as much on the East. If you don't really think the West course got faster after 1st Heat, then well, I guess your just sayin'.......
Congrat's on the trophy, it was well earned after all the effort you put into the car this year. I hope we can do it again next year.

Great to meet you guys! I had a great time (first time at Nationals), but wish I hadn't choked on the east course. I really thought that course suited my driving, but I think I psyched my self out trying to run clean.

congrats to ULLLOSE for the win....again. that consistency thing seems to work for him.
i enjoyed my trip to Nationals except for my driving, the rain in my tent and the cold front
that blew all the rain out Saturday night...
ps. if anybody wants an '04 RX-8 set up for BS, lemme know. i'll probably post a
for sale ad shortly.

Actually, I think once I stopped running mine, it was obvious that the RX8 was no longer cool...

Thanks guys. Had a great time and enjoyed meeting a number of BS newbies - although the screen name/real name thing makes it a pain to keep people strait.
A big thanks to Mike Bronson for warming my tires, I could not have gotten number 4 without him. Mike was super easy to work with, and I would absolutely share a car with him again (as long as it is cold and we run early ).
Congrats to Gretchen on her first win.

You think the tires were holding you back? I have never felt the "the lack of grip" at HPT, but I can stay on line with my K tires.

I might give you that time had you picked up one cone, but with three cones it is worthless. Fast and dirty describes DiSimos women, not a winning run.
btw CS also beat AS.
