I know it's only Day 1, but any updates on BS competition? It looks like SCCA is now finally on the ball by providing prelim results even before the entire class finishes all three runs. The final prelim is here: http://www.scca.com/documents/result...20East%205.pdf.
I'm sure Doug R is very pleased with his time today, 0.032 behind Isley. Anything different between SD Tour and National, besides Hoosier and better driving?

sir baghead finished 32/47 in STU -- obviously not what he was hoping for. as a fellow rx8'er i'm bummed too. on the brighter side, my philly brethern corey ridgick and anthony defiore finished 5th and 36th respectively. corey won the pro solo finale in STU too.

You gotta wonder if Jason is going for another one next year. Congrats also goes to Mike for having the 3rd top time of day 2, over his co-driver (BS Pro champ), no small feat. I speak for the whole SFR region in saying that we always believe in you.
Now the chase is on for Winter Slush in SFR!

Great fun.... I left the door open for Braun today but he was nice enough not to take advantage, I have been trying to get him for a long time.
Nice work by Carter for BS-FTD today, he owned us on that course. btw he shall now be known as "Day 2 Thompson", always seems to come on hard and fast on day two, just needs to work on day one. Now we know why he has so many damn ProSolo Championships.
Doug had some shock problems, even though he was lucky enough to get his Koni "fixed" by the Penske guy that was on site seems like it was not the same.
Joe managed to shake his funk and set down a solid time today as well. The Zs seemes to have problems, on the course we thought they would kill us on, but Glen laid down an awesome dirty time.
SCCA Pro driver Jason Saini also bummed a BS ride, and even being a little rusty had a very solid finish and had one of the fastest, but dirty, runs today.
See you all next year, unless someone has an SS car they want to let me use.

Congrats to Jason for gettin' her done. Fast, smooth consistent driving prevails again.
After the first day, I wanted to go home and take up scuba diving, but am glad I was able to run near the front on day two...that consistency thing still is a big problem, for me.
Matthew fought the good fight, but was handicapped on run two by tires that were too hot, which ended up being a contiuing problem in third runs. I had gotten a rerun on my second run, which I almost didn't take and probably shouldn't have, and we didn't have enough time to really cool the tires. We continued to chase the tire temps down and on our third runs, while not optimal, they were OK.
BS not only had a tight, competitive class, but also has a great group of guys to hang out with and race with, for sure.

Doug did great
Unfortunately we didn't figure out that whole "downshifting" thing on the west course until after it was done.
Many thanks to Phil from Driven Performance Equipment for getting us a set of front shocks on very little notice! Thanks Phil!

Huh, the Solstice in both forms is legit. I have a feeling we're going to see a LOT more of them next year, AS has gotten pretty interesting if you ask me. Can't say the same for some of the other (spec) classes
Was nice to see Daddio stop the BMW dominance in SM, and the dude that won BSP put down some serious runs...
By the way, congrats Jason! I think it's 3 and out, you need to find a new class to win :p

I was able to take a couple of in grid shots from day 2. Had a couple of requests for copies, see below for the link.

Congrats again, ULLLOSE -- although you didn't get down to my first run scratch time on Friday, you did get close...

Congrats to ULLLOSE on 3 straight...we gotta do something about that.
It took Saini 6 runs to figure out how to drive an 8. Good thing he prefers road racing!
I had a fun time, even if I can't figure out how to set up my car...
c ya next year.

I think the first downshift was important to setting good times, but now Jason will chime in and tell us he never downshifted and blow my theory to h-e-double toothpicks...

Isley was only using 1st in the final 2 turns. I tried it on my last run and it worked pretty well, except I wasn't used to the rotation and ended up clipping an apex cone.
Overall, my performance pretty much sucked. I should probably focus on one car next year. I did figure out how to go fast on Sat, and got a special trophy from the Missouri Highway Patrol about 2 miles from the airport.
Big congrats to Jason on the 3-peat. It's really an impressive accomplishment. Also, congrats to everyone who made it out... we had a great class this year.
