LOL

Definitely not up for another 8 hour drive for no contingency money.

37 views and not one single RX-8 has stepped up to the plate...
All is well, since I got a co-driver who will most likely school me and teach me a thing or two in the process of doing so. Just a bit sad that there is no other RX-8 running besides a MR2 in BS, less than three weeks away.

I will be at Ripken (7/8) and Warminster (7/16). Hope some familiar faces will make it.

Ok, one more week to go, still no signs of other RX-8s joining fray. This is getting pretty sad. Where are all the talents? Surely you can come out and play. I promise that I won't bite =D If this keeps up, I think I may as well cancel my registration and enjoy the weekend touring Finger Lake wine region. Getting free booze from wine sampling beats 5 mins racing time against...myself (my co-driver and one MR-2).

Seriously, it's high quality asphalt with tons of room. Not your typical confined lot with loop-back restriction.

It's a matter of time off from work, especially when in a meeting this week, they say I might have to go on travel within the next two weeks. And with my luck, it would be one of the necessary travel days to or from the event. Especially if it were that Friday.

And the prospect of paying almost $350 in gas, tolls, food etc... (and honestly no return from it from Kumho or Mazda... not saying that I do it just for contingency, but the possibility of some makes it worth a trip sometimes)... bleah.

I will hold a paddock spot just for you, The Oracle. You can do Sat morning tech/registration if necessary. It would be an eye opening experience as usual with you smacking everyone around in the Green Monster.

It's not a matter of holding a paddock spot.... It's getting there without being rushed before an event. Like, if I had to fly home Friday evening... it's just over a 7 hr drive/tow. I'm not crazy about driving in the wee morning hours. Never have been, never will be.

7hr driving sounds like a a huge pain... Let me know if you need to find a hotel in town. There is still a place with room available. As for the competition, my co-driver should be able to entertain you for a while at least. At the last event, he did well driving the RX-8 on V710 for the 1st time, going up against clyde. Would have been 1st if not for the mysterious cone.

fwiw, to elaborate...clyde couldn't figure out the course last week as well as having his head shoved up his *** in a couple key places on each run. Win or not, he drove like ***.

heh, count me in that category too. i was wicked angry at myself for my ***** driving that event. i also discovered that stock shocks really excel at sucking during high speed rebound. ugh. i did redeem myself the next day at the SJR event, however. good job anyway though clyde.

Thanks guys for hijacking the thread

Back to the topic of NEDiv, four more days to go and still only two cars in the running for BS. I'm almost certain canceling my registration by 19th. Just too much work schedule-wise and not enough cars to get me motivated. If only more cars would show up, then we could have the good old RX-8 shoot-out like Devens.

Looking forward to an autox-free weekend after the 12hr-drawn-out day yesterday at Holbert Memorial.

I think the problem is it's in the middle of nowhere and because it's a divisional, there's nothing to win in terms of contingency money. Devens was a blast but we wouldn't have come up if we didn't have a chance to win Kumho money (which we did get!!)
