NHIS road course quick laps, bloopers videos

I drove the car pretty hard. RX8's are so predictable, easy to drive fast. I love this thing.

The 'good' vid is great, you're really driving the **** out of it the way it should be and you obviously musta been (mistakenly) placed in the wrong skill group The 'bloopers' vid looks like you're learning from the ragged edge back which is great fun as long as you don't spin and they your *** outa dodge .

Bet you can't wait to do it all over again no?

I was a novice running in the intermediate 1 group. It was my second track day. My first was lime rock park and my instructor held me back. My nhis istructor let me prove myself and cut me loose after 2 sessions in the novice run group. Im going back on 10/19 and they got me in intermediate 1? The thing about spinning. If you spin once you're black flagged to the pits for some explaining to do. If you spin twice you're done for the day. My car felt like it was impossible to spin. So I guess I can push harder.

Nice video and good driving. Quick question, what did you use to mount your camera in the car? I've been looking for something

Wow, some of those guys in the intermediate group looked like they were out there driving miss daisy. You seem to be a pretty good driver for a beginner, but I'd suggest opening your line up a bit. Even in the first video I think you're overdriving it a bit and turning in too early and not always setting up your next turn properly. Try to set up your next turn better and not overdrive it your next time out (slower is faster ). It may not feel like you're going faster but I think you'll see your lap times improve. Let us know how it goes your next time out.

Thanks for advice ike, You're right on turning in early. I was definatly doing that on turn 1 from main straight. I need to work on that. The first lap of the video was my best lap of the 2 sessions I recorded. a 1min 26.9sec. I dont know how fast that is. But I know I can trim it down some by correcting mistakes... especially the ridiculous turning in early on turn 1. As far as openning up my line a bit. There are 2 turns I can take flat-out and track out further. But I dont like getting near those walls at the limit of adhesion.
