Which Option Packages for B-stock autox Rx8?
Looking at purchasing an Rx8 for Bstock autocross, which option packages are needed for the "hot" setup? Looks like just "Sports Package", correct?
Thanks
Thanks

Either the base or sport package would be good. The base 6 speed already has all the performance stuff: bigger wheels & brakes, LSD, sport suspension. I have a GT, but If I could do it again I'd get the sport since I like the Xenon headlights and DSC.
Touring and GT packages start adding weight and reducing helmet room with the sunroof, leather seats, etc.

Just like mp5 said, base or sport would be all you want.
All 6spd cars get 18" wheels, LSD, sport suspension and big brakes. Sport pkg adds HID, fogs and DSC/TC. Not sure on the number for sure but I would guess that a sport weighs about 10lbs more than a base. Stay away from sunroof cars unless you are real short, you will lose needed headroom.

If I could do it over - I would go with the Sport Package. I'm in Texas - it's a 100 degrees out in the summer - noone opens the sun roof! That and heated leather seats - who needs 'em??
But the worst part of all is the damn lack of head room! It only cramps me when I'm wearing a helmet but it Drives me nuts. I'm almost thinking about trading my GT down to a sport. It has crossed my mind a time or two.
I wouldn't get the base because I like having the DSC for daily driving - incase I miss the memo and "**** up."

I have the sport also, non-sunroof. I remember trying my friends car a few times with sunroof and I barely fit. I brought my helmet with me to the dealer for a test-fit, and it's just about right without the sunroof.
