Could it be that their damping rate is getting overwhelmed by the spring rate (or some other reason that they aren't working)?

based on input from the Koni Challenge series cars I'm completely revamping the spring rates and shock valving substantially stiffer/aggressive

Why don't you just cut some 4X4 redwood to the correct length and stick 'em in?

Why not just put your wheels and tires on DKNV's BS car... You would be faster than Mid-pack Mike.

except that her car is down at least 30 hp compared to mine

I drove her car to work every day during the week between the two events and just having the springs/shocks/bars from her car on mine probably would have made me competitive. It drove so much better than mine it was clear that something wasn't right somewhere. If it wasn't the first eligible year for STU I'd have already changed my Nats entry to BS. I still think her car is good enough to win BS if driven to it's potential ...
