Ok, more pictures....

Some maybe out of sequence, but you'll get the idea. During the evening I made a couple trips back into the garages to get an update on casualties of the race. I've got some pictures and explanations from those as well.

Pre race prep:

Here's the configuration with the oil coolers closer in:

I love the graphics on these cars:

More of my love. I gotta have one of these....

The Sahlen's guys were very nice and talkative too. Told me that the only GM part on that car is the engine and they rebuild that as soon as they get it. The rear end is a Ford. That made me laugh.

Thanks lego!

Bad luck for the team early on, but they're still hanging in there, a finish in 24 is a big first step to winning it.

The #70 I believe will slowly climb back towards the top. They really have the porsches beat in lap times. All the RX-8s are turning on the afterburners now, running 1:52s compared to 1:53 of other top cars, as of now.

I believe they ran into a little problem in the pits earlier on that caused them the lead? and the caution didn't do them much good afterwards.

Looking at the hypersport pictures... just a big if, If they didn't place the oil coolers the way they did it, they could've avoided the damage caused by the blown tire. The blown tire separated from the rim and went into the car, probably damaged the oil coolers there.
