Plugs and plug wire replacement

All y'all that have done some decent track time on your 8, how often are you replacing the plugs/wires? I figure they won't last as long due to the fact that you are at high rpm operation for longer periods of time, but how long I am not sure.

Thanks for input!

You can always use a colder plug before running on the track and switched it out after the event.

Takahashi has thread on trial with different plugs on track while Richard has a thread on plugs heat ranges I think. You can search for it. As for coils many have change when their stock coils melted, in my opinion definitely change to an aftermarket if you are tracking.

don't have to change wires unless you break them while changing spark plug.
I will change plugs at 20k if I track it a lot.

I want to try these denso plugs but I only got 8k on my car. don't use the RX7 plugs because the RX8 trailing is shorter for some reason

you can get shims on the plugs to fix the shorter trailing issue. Thats how mazsport sells them.
They are significantly cheaper than the uridium rx-8 plugs
