pre mix for track days?

ok forum Gods. WHat are the thoughts on this topic? On the track staying in the higher RPMS is common (over 6k). We can log 175 to 350 track miles on a w/e. I have been thinking about the oil supply at those rpm's. I know RB has the pump mod but would a good pre mix help on these track w/es? If so what concentration would be recommended? I know some pre mix discussion has been posted but it all concerned daily driving.
Thoughts---recommendations??

ummm, I wouldnt run premix unless you pulled the oil metering pumps out of the engine. The amount of oil that would be in the gas wouldn't do you any favors. Only people I know who run premix have hardcore 7's with oil metering pumps out.

1/2 oz. per gallon of fuel, which gives you 1:256 ratio, you wouldn't want to go heavier unless you dump the cat converter and then only for a highly modified race engine with the metering pump removed, this ratio is recommended in addition to the metering pump being operational

since the Wankel engine depends on lubrication for compression sealing it makes sense to me, recommend a rotary-specific low-ash pre-mix oil such as Idemitsu rather than a generic 2-cycle oil

My thoughts also. I have read that there is some concern with the
oil supply at SUBSTAINED high rpm. I have ran 4ozs in 12 gal and i do swear the engine felt smoother with a better idle.

I also use the Yamalube product. Even on the street, 3 ounces per fill-up.

I started adding oil to the gas tank when I was racing my 1st Gen RX7. This was in conjunction with the oil metering rods. I did later lose compression on one of the rotors, but this wasn't due to the additional oil.

I run synthetic 2 stroke oil as well on the track 6OZ to a full tank. I figure it can't hurt....and the tank of fuel only lasts for the day anyway if I'm lucky

I run it in in 1st gen RX-7, but I have removed the oil metering pump. I've got several graduated containers for the oil if you want me to bring a couple to the "Trackday of Debauchery" on the 21st.

hey man, hope you had a Merry Christmas.
I also have some stuff. I found that if I just pour the mix in I get a "too lean" cel! I have to insert a tube and give it a synthetic enema. So to speak.
I dont have a opening yet for the 21st matter of fact I just found out today that I have to work anyway. Ill post on that thread.
