Race Car Fuel Starvation Problems
#1
I definately get fuel starvation and hiccups with a 1/4 tank or less of fuel sloshing around back there. Hasn't been a strategic issue, since I'm just HPDE'ing the car, but yeah, I can see how this can be a problem in a race. Do the rules not allow for a fuel cell?

yea i know of one guy that has done that and he retained oem lines to the engine
regulators etc remained oem. cant remember his handle but do a fuel starvation search and he will pop up.
There was some concern about the safety of the set up. cant remember the details.
mazsport has a converted fuel pump that changes the system to a return type and has a rising regulator built. it is basically for fi applications. untested on race cars but possibility?
One hint--if you ever have one fuel starvation event and you are still tracking--go ahead and change the pump.
Speed Source does theirs in such a way that it does not disqualify them for the class they are running in.
