Rear Diff Issue?

How does the rear diff respond for people who are running the 285 A6s? In the last couple of races, I seem to be getting what feels like a pulse from the rear end when I accelerate on slight corners. I also seem to be getting quite a bit of wheel spin, but it feels like only the inside tire is spinning. The back end doesn't slide out, it just sounds like the tire is spinning, and I'm able to do this at relatively low RPM.

I just recently changed to A6s but I don't think it's a difference between my old 710s and the A6s. It seems different than it used to be. At first I thought it was fuel starve, but I ran more fuel at this event and it was still present. I took a look through the manual and can't see a way to test the rear diff. I did change the diff fluid back in January (Amsoil Severe Gear 75w90, GL-5), but it seemed OK until now. I do not see any signs of fluid leaking, but haven't verified the level yet. Anyone know if this is relatively normal, or a way to verify if it isn't working properly?

From what you're describing, it sounds like you're lifting your inside rear wheel in corners. Whenever this happens, our torque-sensing tochigi-fuji diff goes from being a limited slip to an open diff.

Are you on konis? What front bar do you use? Stiffening the front shocks and/or running a stiffer FSB will reduce body roll, keeping that inside rear wheel planted.

Lifting the wheel is quite possible. I'm still on the stock FSB (not even drilled) and I have OTS Konis on all corners. I set the rear at around 2/3 (1 turn from full stiff) and ran the front at 1/4 turn from full stiff at this event. I've got quite a bit of body roll.
If lifting the wheel would cause the system to get confused, that is likely my issue. Much better than a malfunctioning diff. I guess I should look into getting that FSB.
Either that or learn to steer properly so I don't pitch the car as much

the diff/LSD is pretty bulletproof at the stock power level, you can also try to get more rear rotation to help prevent the chassis from keeling over on the outside front wheel which will contribute to inside rear lift; alignment, tire pressure, etc.

Holy crap. I can't believe I missed this . The end link was broken. I was thinking the extra roll was due to my switch to the A6s, but looks like I was running with NO FSB.
While I was hooking it back up, I put in the extra hole for a stiffer setting, and am using that.
