Recent track day for RX8's
I didn't know where to put this, so I put it here. :p
Anyway...
Yesterday, I went on a track day for RX8 owners in the U.K. It was awesome. We went around a handling course, the track, and played on a skidpan!!
On the handling course, I was sliding the car, and really cooked the tyres. Apparently this is because I was entering the corner too fast. :o Then we did some track stuff. Then we played around on a skidpan. 360's, and all. We also did braking runs. S**t, this car stops quickly. It is really amazing what this car can do. It was so much fun.
And BTW the independant instructors thought they could eat M3's in RX8's because they handle so well. Money well spent I think.
:D
P.S. - If any U.K. guys are interested in setting up something similiar, I now have contact info. for one of the guys. He was a professional race instuctor with many years experience, and does his own track days with his friend. He was a right good bloke and was talking about teaching me to do 'J' turns, donuts, and generally having fun. If I can get numbers, I might think about setting something up. PM me if your interested.
